Operations-level confined space rescue training emphasizing non-entry rescue and limited-entry support within defined controls. Focus: scene management, hazard control, monitoring, retrieval systems, and team communications.
Scope
- Non-entry rescue systems (primary focus)
- Limited entry only where permitted by AHJ/site policy
- Not technician-level; no complex entry operations
Prerequisites
- Confined Space Attendant / Monitor or Entry Supervisor
- Medical: First Aid/CPR (recommended)
Recommended Duration
- 16–24 hours (2–3 days)
Key Outcomes
- Perform rescue size-up and risk assessment
- Implement isolation, control measures, and monitoring support
- Build and operate non-entry retrieval systems (tripod/davit)
- Support technician teams with scene control and logistics
- Operate within clear operational limitations
